Fishing

Saturday we drove up to the west fork of the San Gabriel river (Shane and Jared's favorite fishing spot). We hiked 1 mile to the bridge and found the perfect place.

.
Serenity taking a little break, waiting for the boys to catch something.

.
The first catch (a tiny rainbow trout). Shane caught it around the bend and ran back over to us with the fish still on the hook. He tossed it back in the water before Serenity could see what he was up to, then he called Jared and Serenity over to reel it in.

.
Jared's first priority whenever we go fishing is to make a little area for the fish he catches. Here's Serenity putting their fish back into the river.

Jared caught a small Brooke trout too and Serenity practiced her casting and reeling.

.
The girls taking it easy.

I love the no shoes and fishing, a real outdoor girl! Looks like fun, I think I might get my fishing license renewed.
