Trunk or Treat

Friday was our ward Trunk or Treat. Here are my little munchkins. Serenity, the Princess. Jared, the Dragon Slayer and Paris, the Dragon.

Ward Carnival

Friday was our ward carnival. Here's Jared doing the basketball shoot. (He made the shot, so he says)

Lytle Creek with the Cubs

Saturday we went hiking up Lytle Creek with the cub scouts (from our ward - Pack 535). It was HOT, about 95 degrees and no shade!

Fathers and Sons Campout

Friday was also the Fathers and Sons Campout at Prado Dam. (Of course moms are not allowed, hence... no pictures!) The boys had a GREAT time. Jared especially liked playing baseball with the other boys and the dads. While they were gone I worked on my scrapbooking and watched "August Rush" (great movie, by the way).

Astronomy Night

Thursday, for cub scouts we looked through telescopes at the Moon and Saturn. It was really neat looking at Saturn, you could see the planet and the ring!

Jared's Big Day

Jared's baptism was on Saturday. It turned out to be such a special day and its hard to believe that its already come and gone. Thank you Gwen and Christy for giving the talks, both of you did such a wonderful job! Our love and thanks goes out to all of our friends and especially our family who helped us celebrate. We love you all so much!

"Gearing" up for the Pinewood Derby

Last Weekend was Jared's Pinewood Derby. Shane and Jared had a fun time building his car. I oversaw the paint and sticker job. Jared raced three times and took second place each time, but he got an award for the best paint job!
