Pole Jumping

Another one of Shane's crazy ideas......Pole Jumping! They had a blast raising the bar higher and higher. At the end the bar was as high as Jared's armpits and he could still dive over it!

Swimming

All of the kids got here on Friday and they couldn't wait to take a dip in the pool (even though the water was barely over 60 degrees).

In The Pool, Already?

Today it was 85 degrees, which is just the right temperature for a swim in the pool (Jared thought) The water is only 66 degrees, but he had to jump in anyway....and then ran straight for the hot tub!

Guasti

Today we had planned on a beach trip, but ended up going to Guasti Park instead. The kids had a great time. We went with a big group of moms and kids from our ward. Jared spent most of the time playing with the "older" kids, but later he played tag with Serenity.

Then they were off. "Your it!"

Jared was even nice enough to let Serenity catch up and tag him back.

Cub H2ohhh

Last Saturday was the July cub scout pack meeting. The theme was cub H2Ohhhh. We ended up having a swim party at our house and the boys earned the swimming beltloop and the swimming pin. The boys had a GREAT time.

Hold Your Breath!

Saturday Jared jumped into the deep-end of our pool (almost 6 feet deep) and stood on the bottom for 5 minutes!

O.k......so the pool was empty. We had the pool drained and acid-washed over the weekend. We're getting ready for lots of fun summer swimming!

The First Official Swim of the Season

It was my plan to finish planting my hibiscus flowers yesterday, so I told Jared I would heat up the hot tub and let him and his 2 friends swim while I worked on the gardening. They were so excited! The pool was only at 68 degrees, but the boys ended up jumping in and swimming anyway (alternating with the hot tub, of course).
