Legoland

Jared has been saving (and spending) for two years to earn a trip to Legoland. (A reward we set up to encourage him to SAVE his money) It took two years, not because he had to save a HUGE amount, but because every time he would get close to his goal he would go and spend it all and have to start all over again. He got lucky this year when he ended up getting gold coins for Christmas (thanks Grandma!). That, added together with his birthday money and the little he had saved already, got him just enough. Its been two months since and life around here has finally settled down enough that we could schedule the trip to the long awaited LEGOLAND.

It ended up being cold and cloudy, a high of only 60. (that's cold for us Southern Californians). Notice that even the boys wore jackets!

Darth Vador and R2D2. What a way to start an adventure.

I was so brave and went on a water ride with Jared.

More water rides.

Of course I had to get a photo with the eiffel tower.

The driving school was one of Jared's favorite rides. The range is set up with city streets, stop signs and traffic signals. Shane and I had so much fun watching all the nervous kids. Jared did a great job and only ran one stop sign.
